Let’s Yoga!

Explore different types of Yoga with WeMind

We love yoga too! WeMind retreats include a range of Yoga activities to help you investigate your body and find the perfect yoga for you…

Hatha Yoga

Daily practice of Hatha Yoga at all retreats.  Basic poses, holding of the postures, light transitions, focus on a healthy alignment. Very good practice for everyone, experienced and inexperienced.

Main focus in opening hips and shoulders. Both are the basics for yoga postures.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa refers mainly to the transition between two postures. Instead of breaking each posture to come to the other, you will find a flow sequence between them.

The vinyasa places emphasis on the breath. If you breathe properly, the body will work better during the class.

Mantra Yoga

Mantras have been used for ages. It is the repetition of a sound, at a certain time for different numbers of repetitions. Mantra will help you calm your mind down and maintain the focus you need during a class.

The combination of yoga postures with mantra chanting will put you closer to the devotion in yoga, to focus on what yoga really means: Connection!

Acro Yoga

AcroYoga elevates the connection between you and others through movement, connection, and play. Acro in Greek means high, or elevated. The experience of taking flight with AcroYoga instantly dissolves fears and invites practitioners to tap into new and infinite possibilities of communication, trust, and union.

By combining acrobatics, yoga, and healing arts, the practice of AcroYoga has built a community of active teachers and practitioners all over the world.

Air Yoga

It actually comes from a type of support that Iyengar was using to help people enter to the yoga postures and to prepare the body for the final asana.

The benefits of air yoga are several: fun, relieving, perfect for lower back pain, it pushes you out of your comfort zone, helps develop trust, encourages you to follow your heart and overcome fears. It works out your legs and arms, tone muscles and your core.

For this type of yoga you need special hammocks. Currently we only offer this class in Vilcabamba, Ecuador.

Kundalini Yoga

In ancient yogic scriptures Kundalini was referred as such an important energy, the “shakti”, located at the base of our spine. Scriptures say that once you awake this energy, you come to spiritual awakening.

Kundalini yoga will work with your energy, with repetitive exercises so you can feel the flow of energy and breath throughout your body.

If you have never practiced Kundalini Yoga, we highly encourage you to do so. We offer this type of yoga in the majority of our retreats.
